Xiaomi continues its ambitious rise in the electric vehicle market. Company CEO Lei Jun said that they set a sales target of 10 thousand units for the supercar SU7 Ultra by the end of the year. This target came with the news that the SU7 Ultra will be introduced at the end of the month.
Xiaomi set a target of 10 thousand units for SU7 Ultra by the end of the year
Xiaomi has started displaying the SU7 Ultra at 112 Xiaomi stores in 42 cities across China starting today. This move offers potential customers the opportunity to experience the company’s latest car.
The SU7 Ultra was first introduced in October 2024 and started taking pre-orders. The company announced that it received 3680 pre-orders in the first 10 minutes. Xiaomi, which delivered more than 150 thousand cars last year, aims to sell 300 thousand units in 2025.
Of course, the SU7 Ultra, which has a starting price of 100 thousand euros, is not expected to make up a significant part of these sales. The vehicle is positioned as a model that can attract customers to the company’s more affordable SU7 series.
With its front bumper, front spoiler, and sharp lines designed to be sporty, the SU7 Ultra also scares its competitors. The vehicle, which can reach 1526 horsepower and 1770 Nm of torque, can reach 0 to 100 in just 1.98 seconds by working on Xiaomi’s advanced triple engine system. In addition, although 350 km/h is stated as the maximum speed, it was proved that the vehicle reached 359 km/h in tests conducted in the past months.
