Yooka-Replaylee is officially getting a physical launch on the Switch 2, and yes, this time, the full game will be on the cartridge.
Yooka-Replaylee confirmed for full physical edition

Canadian retailer Video Games Plus listed the upcoming Yooka-Replaylee release and confirmed that the cartridge will include the complete game, no downloads required. This remaster of 2017’s cult classic is being distributed through PM Studios, which has partnered with Playtonic Games to bring the new version to life.
The game is now content complete and in testing
PM Studios recently posted a short update confirming the game has entered its final phase. Development is complete, and the team is now ironing out bugs during the playtesting process. While the exact launch date hasn’t been announced yet, both Playtonic and PM say it’s coming “soon.”
That suggests a release window is likely to be revealed during an upcoming showcase.

Alongside the Gamescom IGN Showcase, a teaser trailer hinted that Yooka-Replaylee will appear during the MIX Fall Showcase on August 29. Playtonic plans to drop a significant update then, which may finally include the game’s release date and showcase new gameplay.

Yooka-Replaylee aims to deliver refined nostalgia
Playtonic originally launched Yooka-Laylee as a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. Now, with a complete overhaul, Yooka-Replaylee brings sharper visuals, smoother controls, and a more refined experience all set to land on Nintendo’s new hybrid platform later this year.
