The new generation air command and control system ADVENT MARTI has entered the inventory of the Coast Guard Command. How will this new system affect maritime security operations? Answers and details in our article…
The new eye of the Coast Guard: ADVENT MARTI
The ADVENT MARTI system developed by HAVELSAN was successfully integrated into the CASA CN-235MP-100M aircraft of the Coast Guard Command. With this integration, it is aimed to increase the effectiveness of the Coast Guard in maritime security operations.
The system adds a new dimension to operational coordination by analysing the data obtained from the sensors on the aircraft and sharing it with the command centres simultaneously. In addition, ADVENT MARTI will play a critical role in missions such as maritime surveillance, border security, search and rescue and anti-smuggling.
ADVENT MARTI was developed as an adapted version of HAVELSAN’s ADVENT Combat Management System for air platforms. The system offers high performance in missions by providing real-time data sharing and effective operational coordination between air, land and naval elements.
Incorporating the capabilities of ADVENT, which has been successfully used on naval platforms before, ADVENT MARTI brings a modern mission management infrastructure to air platforms. This system, which will also be integrated into other CN235 aircraft in the Coast Guard inventory, maximises the capabilities of special mission aircraft.
Developed by HAVELSAN, ADVENT MARTI once again demonstrates Turkey’s strength in the domestic defence industry. This system, produced with domestic facilities, shows how important a role national technology plays in maritime security operations. With the introduction of ADVENT MARTI into the Coast Guard inventory, the effectiveness of security operations in the Blue Homeland will increase significantly. This development will also contribute to Turkey’s deterrence power at sea.
