Exciting developments are taking place about the future of the God of War series. The latest claims are likely to surprise players. Contrary to the Egypt rumours, the new game will focus on Kratos’ teenage years and Greece.
God of War series returns to its roots
According to information coming from social media, the next game of the series will deal with Kratos’ relationship with his father Zeus. This means that the game could be either a ‘prequel’ or a remake of sorts.
The new game will offer the opportunity to experience Kratos’ early years and development in Greek mythology. In addition, players who have not yet tested the first games of the God of War series will be able to play this story on PC.
It is also rumoured that a remastered version of the God of War trilogy is in development. Allegedly, this remaster project will serve as a bridge to prepare players for the new direction of the series.
Another claim supporting these speculations came from Chinese sources. Nixxes Software is rumoured to be working on a God of War collection covering the entire Greek era. This collection is expected to be announced in March, the 20th anniversary of the series.
