Elon Musk, recently announced Apple Vision Pro glasses were criticized by him in his distinctive style. In a tweet, he made a reference to the price of the AR glasses. Musk’s viral post implies that the glasses would create a similar effect to hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Musk Criticizes Apple Vision Pro price
Apple Vision Pro was introduced during WWDC 2023 and stood out for its virtual and augmented reality experience. However, Apple executives avoided using the terms “virtual reality” and “augmented reality” during the launch. Elon Musk didn’t overlook the $3499 price tag of the glasses.
Musk expressed his opinion on Vision Pro with a meme. The photo highlighted that Apple’s glasses cost $3499, while hallucinogenic mushrooms are sold for only $20. The package of mushrooms also featured the phrase “Connect with UFOs and aliens,” which didn’t go unnoticed.
It’s worth noting that Tesla’s CEO’s criticism of Vision Pro didn’t go unanswered. Some users found Musk’s comment ironic, as it reminded them of Neuralink brain chips.
Vision Pro utilizes Micro LED technology combined with a high-performance eye-tracking system. Apple aims to provide the best image quality by using the M2 processor and a new processor called R1. The R1 processor minimizes latency and offers a top-notch experience in gaming and other applications.
We don’t currently know Musk’s actual opinions on Apple Vision Pro. However, he has previously criticized Meta’s Quest glasses multiple times, stating that placing a television in front of one’s eyes doesn’t make sense.
