“If you look at the big trends in Feeds, initially everything was updates from your friends,” said Zuckerberg, “Then we added content creators, and now most of the content on Instagram and Facebook isn’t from your friends, but from recommended content that we algorithmically believe will interest you.”
Meta’s algorithms promote AI-generated posts to highlight content that will interest users. This content leads to more engagement and longer time spent on the platform.
