Toyota is preparing to update the Yaris Hybrid, one of its most successful models in history. The Japanese manufacturer, known for its hybrid power units, will make performance and safety updates to the Yaris Hybrid model. It is expected that these updates will make the Yaris Hybrid more competitive in its class.
Toyota Yaris is getting a new and more powerful hybrid engine
Toyota will update its hybrid power unit to provide a higher-performance driving experience with the New Yaris Hybrid. The new Yaris Hybrid, known for its fuel efficiency and low emission rates, will be available with two power options: the existing “Hybrid 115” version and the new “Hybrid 130“.
Compared to the “Hybrid 115,” the “Hybrid 130” will offer a 12% increase in engine power, reaching 130 horsepower, and a 30% increase in maximum torque, reaching 185 Nm. As a result, the new Yaris Hybrid will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and will also stand out with its low CO2 emissions of 96-116 g/km.

Additionally, the new Yaris Hybrid will introduce a new digital user experience. Depending on the equipment options, the model will feature either a 7-inch or a 12.3-inch digital display, and there will be options for a 9-inch or 10.5-inch infotainment screen as well. The digital displays can be customized with different themes according to the driver’s preference.
Furthermore, the new Yaris Hybrid boasts impressive safety features in terms of both active and passive equipment. Toyota T-Mate systems have been improved in the new Yaris to perform more efficiently, and with new cameras and sensors, there has been a significant increase in accident risk detection. The new Yaris Hybrid will be equipped with an enhanced “Intersection Collision Prevention System,” an “Automatic Emergency Braking System” that detects vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists, and a “Low-Speed Collision Avoidance System” that prevents accidents at low speeds. The updated model will also offer an optional “Safe Exit Assist” feature, which helps prevent accidents caused by opening doors by detecting approaching vehicles and cyclists.
The high-performance “Hybrid 130” engine option of the new Yaris Hybrid, along with its enhanced technological and safety features, is planned to be available in this summer.
