Apple has been rumored to be working on the new iMac and MacBook Pro for some time. It was claimed that the event would be held this month. After all these leaks, Apple made the official announcement. Apple Scary Fast event will be held on October 30.
What will be introduced at the Apple Scary Fast event?
Apple has announced its second event to be held on Monday, October 30 at 5 pm PT. The invitation to the event, titled “Scary Fast”, features an Apple logo that transforms into the Mac Finder icon, confirming the event’s focus on Mac computers.
As with other events, this presentation for Mac devices is expected to be pre-recorded and streamed. On the other hand, Scary Fast is expected to showcase new hardware and Macs.
The 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models were updated in January, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro hasn’t been refreshed in more than a year. Most importantly, the 24-inch iMac hasn’t seen a refresh since it launched in mid-2021 with the M1 chip. This suggests that an iMac with the M3 chip and a 13-inch MacBook Pro could be introduced.
Previous claims by Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman suggested that Apple would emphasize a performance boost. However, no major design changes are expected other than internal components. Apple’s chosen event name also seems to emphasize performance.
