After being rolled out to other brands like Google and Samsung, the Circle to Search feature is now available on some Nothing smartphones. A few models from the brand have started supporting this AI-powered search function developed by Google. Here are the details…
Which Nothing Phones Will Get Circle to Search?
Google’s AI search feature is now available on three different Nothing models. The confirmed models include the Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus. These details were shared via the company’s official community forum.
The new feature was released with the presence of the Nothing OS 3.0 software. Phone (2) and Phone (2a) are running the stable versions Pong-V3.0-241207-0124 and Pacman-V3.0-241210-2057, respectively. The Phone (2a) Plus, however, has appeared in the beta version of the OS with the PacmanPro-V3.0-241126-1448 build.
Circle to Search can be accessed by pressing and holding the home button in the three-button layout on the navigation bar. If you’re using another visual format, you can find it in the device’s Settings page under the Navigation Mode tab.
The brand has confirmed that other smartphones in its lineup will support the Circle to Search feature after being updated to the customized Nothing OS 3.0 interface. Other models are expected to receive the feature soon.
Circle to Search allows users to easily search for a specific item seen in a screenshot or on a webpage. Users can select a region on their device, circle it, and Google will perform a search based on that selection.
This feature combines visual recognition and text processing technologies to deliver fast and context-sensitive results, making it a handy tool, especially for quickly researching images or unknown content.
