Tinder has announced Photo Selector, a new AI tool to help users choose their profile photo. The innovative feature will use AI technology to help users select the most appropriate photos from the photos available on their devices.
Tinder’s new AI tool: Photo Selector
Tinder introduced a new artificial intelligence tool called “Photo Selector” to simplify the process of selecting a profile photo for its users. The feature requires users to take a selfie, perform facial recognition, and then grant access to photos on their device. The AI selects the most relevant photos and presents them to the user, who then decides which of these photos they want to use in their profile.
According to a survey conducted by Opinium for Tinder, 52 percent of singles aged 18-25 said that choosing a profile photo was difficult, while 68 percent said that an AI feature would be useful for this task. According to the same survey, young adult singles spend an average of 33 minutes choosing the right profile photo. Photo Selector aims to significantly reduce this time.
Artificial intelligence is not the only tool Tinder is using to improve the user experience. With AI-based features such as “Does This Bother You?” and “Are You Sure?”, which Tinder launched in 2020 and 2021, Tinder aims to create a safer environment on the platform by detecting potentially disturbing messages and warning users.
By integrating artificial intelligence technologies into its platform, Tinder aims to provide its users with a higher quality and safer experience. These new features will enable users to both use their time more efficiently and interact more safely on the platform.
