Bungie has shared the release date and gameplay footage of its new FPS game Marathon. The studio, known for series such as Halo and Destiny, is coming up with a production that focuses on the shooter genre and stands out with its multiplayer structure.
Valorant rival Marathon has been unveiled
Marathon will be released simultaneously on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 platforms on September 23. The game will also have cross-platform and cross-save support.

Players face off against both other players and artificial intelligence enemies on the maps in order to remove the loot they have collected from the area. The maps will be full of weapons, equipment and resources at different levels.
However, players can reach these resources not only by looting the maps, but also by defeating rival players. In the event of death, all collected materials are dropped and can be picked up by anyone. The currencies earned in the game are used to purchase equipment and development.
Another striking aspect of Marathon was the character system. Players can choose one of six different characters called “Runner”. Each Runner is equipped with unique abilities. These abilities give them an advantage over their opponents during matches.
The game will be released with multiple maps during the launch period. So far, it has been confirmed that each round will support up to 18 players. What do you think about this? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
